Brief introduction of Michael Jeffrey Jordan
Michael Jeffrey Jordan is an American former. By profession, he is a basketball player in addition to that he is the main owner of Charlotte Hornets the part of NBA. Born on Feb 17, 1963, in New York City. He was 6 feet and 6 inches by height. He was the part of 15 seasons of National basketball Association and won 6 championships with Chicago Bulls. From his generation, he was the most liked basketball player and was the main lead of promoting of NBA throughout the world. However, in 1984 Jordan joined Bulls and soon come up as a league star. Jordan got a nickname as “Air Jordan”and known as “His Airness”. In 2014 he was the first billionaire player and soon became the third-richest man in African-American. However, he was also recognized for his product ratifications especially with the NIKE.
Nike Air Jordan and Michael Jeffrey Jordan:
Nike Air Jordan, brand of basketball shoes, style clothing and even can carried for casual use.Nike Air Jordan was exclusively for the Michael Jeffrey Jordan the NBA player and 5 times MVP in NBA. Later, released in 1984 for the public. Air Jordan includes from I to XXXIII since they introduced. However, this product of NIKE is sponsoring 21 active players of the NBA. But Air Jordan was firstly designed exclusively for Michael Jeffrey Jordan know as the “Air Jordan”. On 14th Sep 2018, there was the official release of first collection of Jordan brand with that of a soccer club. Till now Air Jordan family has 33 products. Starting from “AJ I” till “AJ XXXIII”.
“AIR JORDAN I”
Air Jordan I designed by Peter C. Moore, exclusively for the Michael Jeffrey Jordan. It was the red and black color product, was latterly illegal by the NBA commissioner for having minute white on them. After the Airship of NIKE banned, NIKE and Michael Jordan again introduced Jordan I with more white color on them, named as “Chicago” colorway and the “Black toe” colorway. Nike used the Air ship’s banning as the promotional track for the advertisements and said the shoes gives prejudicial competitive advantage and whoever wore will experience amazing edginess with illegal happenings. Originally, Air Jordan, released from 1985 to 1986 on the market.
“AIR JORDAN II”
In 1986 after the success of the Air Jordan I NIKE decided to release a new Air Jordan with a lot of encouragement. Peter Moore was the one who designed Air Jordan II. Full cushioning feeling in Air Jordan II with polyurethane midsole. The feet also feel super comfortable in these parts of the shoes. Air Jordan II was the first Jordan without the swoosh of NIKE on the upper. Originally, Air Jordan II released from 1986 to 1987 but released in 1994, 2004, 2005, 2008, 2010 and finally in 2014-2018.
“AIR JORDAN III”
This time Peter Moore was no longer the designer of the Air Jordan this time Tinker Hatfield worked as a designer of NIKE. Same time Michael Jordan decided to leave the NIKE, but his mind changed because of Jordan III. Jordan III found to be the first Air Jordan that will be having a visible air unit at the heel. Here, the new Jumpman logo was also prominent. However, Air Jordan was also famed for the entertaining ads. Also, the campaign known as the “Mars & Mike”, the most successful ad campaigns by NIKE. Air Jordan III has relaunched in 1994 and 2001 and limited pairs, released with the collaboration of director Spike Lee in 2007. In 2019 Jordan brand was highly wanted to relaunch Air Jordan III in the True-Blue Color. This way Air Jordan III has released several times in lateral years in 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2016-2018.
“AIR JORDAN IV”
Air Jordan IV new product by NIKE, released in 1989. Again, Tinker Hatfield designed Air Jordan IV was the first product released to the global market. In this case, it had available in four colorways but the most wanted was White/black. Thereby, NIKE again presented director Spike Lee in the ads, in his moves “DO THE RIGHT THING”. Michael Jordan used this shoe during “THE SHOT” which was the series winner of 5 games in NBA first-round during the year 1989. Later, this product relaunched in the years 1990, 2000, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010-2013 and finally in 2015-2019.
“AIR JORDAN V”
In Feb 1990 Air Jordan V designed Tinker Hatfield again. Likewise, it carries some elements from the Air Jordan IV, but overall Tinker presents the new look and included some new elements such as a reflective tongue, rubber sole and locking lacing system. Most importantly the sole, given a new and stunning look but was the source of many complaints due to the slippery nature of the sole when exposed to the moisture. Tinker inspired by the world war II fighter planes for the look of the Air Jordan V. in lateral years Air Jordan V relaunched in 2000, 2006-2009, 2011 and lastly in 2013-2017.
“AIR JORDAN VI”
In 1991 Tinker comes up with the new design of Air Jordan as Air Jordan VI. Originally available in 5 colors bit the most popular one was the black/white/red. However, carrying the Jumpman on the sole on the shoe. Moreover, this product has some amazing changes from the previous Air Jordans such as it has extra support around the toe area, had a pair of holes in the tongue and much more. It also had some similar features to the previous one such as translucent rubber sole. This was the last Air Jordan that contains the NIKE air logo on it. “AIR JORDAN VII”
Tinker again worked had on the look of Air Jordan and comes up with Air Jordan VII which released in the year 1992. This shoe represents the huarache technology for the sensation of super comfort. Some features from the old article excludes such as visible air sole, NIKE Air logo, and the rubber sole. However, this was the first Air Jordan that was without the “NIKE AIR” on the outer side of the shoe but still have the right of “NIKE AIR” on the inner-sole. This was the first Air Jordan marketed by Michael Jordan and was success due to the campaign of “BUGS BUNNY”. Michael Jordan wore this shoe during the 1992 Barcelona Olympics with the color combination of Air Jordan VII. Afterward, different and many models of the Air Jordan VII relaunched. “AIR JORDAN VIII”
During the NBA season of 1992-1993 Air Jordan VIII, the eight model of the Air Jordan released. However, was heavier than the previous model. This model had the amazing support and traction so named as “PUNISHER”. Moreover, this shoe contains an Air sole with the polyurethane midsole and polycarbonate shank plate. The lacing system covered with the two crossover straps. Air Jordan VIII launched with a completely new look and design. So, it was again and again relaunched. “AIR JORDAN IX”
The first model released after the retirement of Michael Jordan was the Air Jordan IX. Originally launched in 1993. This shoe was the inspired shoe from the baseball cleats. Unfortunately, Michael Jordan never wore this pair of shoes during NBA season but wore in trivial-league of baseball. “AIR JORDAN XIII”
Till 1997 Air Jordan has released many models that have got much success. During 1997 Air Jordan released Air Jordan XIII. This product was enriching in cushion along the whole feet, again designed by Hatfield. Air Jordan XIII is the inspiration from the black panther as it soles resembles the pads on the paw of the panther. However, the panther has printed at the back of the shoe. These were re-launched in 2005 with overlapped with the release of the Air Jordan 8 shoes. Air Jordan XIII was available in many different colors. This shoe was also relaunched several times the same as the previous models. Air Jordan XIII was re-launched in 2004, 2005, 2008 and 2010-2018 after it was released in 1997 with a different look.
“AIR JORDAN XIV”
This model was completely inspired by Ferrari 550 M which was owned by Michael Jordan at that time. Air Jordan XIV styled by Tinker and Mark smith and released originally in 1995. Air Jordan XIV equipped with Jumpman sign-on Ferrari shaped badge and is race-ready shoe. Moreover, air Jordan XIV includes breathable air ducts on the outer sole. The color scheme of the shoe is amazing and different from the previous one. However, the Special name “The Last shot” assigned to the predominate black with the red color. There are 14 logos of Jumpman on Air Jordan XIV’s depending on the shoe number of the Air Jordan series. This model is also relaunched several times during different years such as in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2014, 2018.
“Air Jordan XV”
During the year 1999-2000, there was a new addition of model in the series of AIR JORDAN it was the 15th model of Air Jordan, worn by Reggie Miller during the finals of NBA 2000. This was the first pair after Michael Jordan’s complete retirement. Air Jordan XV was completely inspired by the aircraft prototype X-15, developed by NASA in the 1950s. Kevlar fiber woven sides are there in Air Jordan XV. The quality of Air Jordan XV was bad because of which it received negative fame. After some changes, this model relaunched in 2007, 2008 and 2016-2017.
“Air Jordan XVI”
This model Air Jordan XVI designed by Wilson Smith the senior footwear designer in NIKE, released in 2001. Wilson Smith brought some new designs with new fiber as compared to the previous models. A gaiter-shroud covers the shoes and have feature to remove to give a different and new amazing look to the shoe. This function was not just to give a fashionable look but also to deal with the transfer of the heat. Air Jordan XVI said to be stiffer than the previous model. However, air Jordan XVI relaunched in 2008, 2014 and 2016.
“Air Jordan XVII”
Keefer equipped pair of Air Jordan XVII with a CD containing the song of Air Jordan XVII. The main feature of the Air Jordan XVII was the structure of the midsole which provides stability to the shoe. However, this model was available in four different top colors combining with 3 different bottom colors. Fortunately, this shoe reintroduced in 2008 and 2016.
“Air Jordan XVIII”
This model was out in 2003 again designed by the senior footwear designer of NIKE, Tate Kuerbis. He was with NIKE since 1995 but became part of Jordan footwear in 1999. Inspiration of Air Jordan XVIII derived from several things such as race cars, the carbon fiber-based of F1 race care as well as sleek racing in the auto world and many other things. Likely to others, this relaunched just in the year 2008.
“Air Jordan XIX”
Air Jordan XIX was the first Jordan was out after the final and third retirement of Michael Jordan after the 03 season of NBA in 2002. Accordingly, the model inspired by the snake “Black mamba” and was available in just two ordinary colors. Later, three special editions with special color was also released. This model has inspired the bicycling shoes and has a strap placed in the center of the shoe cover the lacing system. The strap helps in the tight-fitting and increases the support to the feet. The shoes relaunched twice in 2008 and 2015 due to the different looks.
“Air Jordan XXI”
D’Wayne Edwards designed the next model of the Jordan, Air Jordan XXI, inspired by vehicle used for sports tours. Air Jordan XXI structured with lower-foot air grilles have phylon midsole, carbon fiber shank plate and much more. Moreover, this air Jordan XXI launched by the second-generation ad on the television. After the original release in 2006, it was re-introduced in 2008.
“Air Jordan XX2”
Air Jordan XX2/ XXII shoes again designed by Dwayne Edwards, inspired by the fighter jet F-22 Raptor. Air Jordan XX2 has updated and interchangeable I.P.S suspension system. Besides, a new metallic mesh material used for ventilation, the pattern printed as Air Jordan in reflective 3M material. Air Jordan XX2 has extra and amazing traction. Mark Romanek directed the promo commercial of the Air Jordan XX2. After the success of it was re-introduced in 2008.
“Air Jordan XX3”
This model of Air Jordan was again designed by Tinker Hatfield. The special model included in the consideration of NIKE. This includes the hand-stitched outer, bootie shape, and interchangeable IPS pillars. This article released on Jan 25, 2008 and was the last until the XX8 has the Roman numeral identification. However, Air Jordan XX3 relaunched in 2015-16.
“Air Jordan 2009”
The 24th model in the series of Air Jordan, designed by Jason Mayden, was the foremost named after the year it launched. This model inspired by the defensive focus and used propulsion technology. The silk upper is the most durable feature of the shoe. Whereas, protected by the TPU sole. As the name indicates the model released in the year 2009 on 31st Jan and yet not re-launched.
“Air Jordan 2010”
On the 25th anniversary of the Air Jordan, the 15th model of the Air Jordan released commonly known as Jordan 2010s. the announcement made on 12th Nov 2009 and released on the 13th Feb 2010. The sole designed as stylized text “I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed”. Originally, this was the words of Michael Jordan while advertising campaign in 1997 for a journey from failures to success. After the release yet this model is not re-introduced.
“Air Jordan 2011”
Dwyane Wade endorsed in Air Jordan and proposed the design of Air Jordan 2011. It also has the same interchangeable insole as the previous models. This model released on 19th Feb 2011 corresponding to the All-star game in 2011. However, the first color was white/black later was introduced in different colors. Air Jordan 2011 has the exclusive design on both sides of the shoe. The upper manufactured from the patent leather wrapping all around the shoe. Air Jordan 2011 considered as that of Air Jordan XI according to the dressing of the shoe. This model is also not re-launched yet.
“Air Jordan 2012”
27th model of the Air Jordan named Air Jordan 2012 after the year it launched. This model contains two interchangeable sleeves and three inner-soles for the different playing styles. However, the exclusively released on 8th Feb whereas customized model launched on 25th Feb 2012. Meanwhile, it was the last and final Air Jordan named after the year it launched. After the original launch in 2012, it has not been re-launched yet.
“Air Jordan XX8”
The 28th model of Air Jordan, again designed by Tinker Hatfield, launched on 16th Feb 2013. The exclusive model of Air Jordan XX8 mostly contains a black upper and bootie shape for the perfect fit. Combination of heel and forefoot with Jordan Flight plate, have a strap to increase the support, a carbon fiber heel counter of extra support and the most important feature is the flexible and ventil upper mesh material. This was the first shoe that restarted the numeric naming after stooped at XX3.
“Air Jordan XX9”
Hatfield was the designer of the Air Jordan XX9, which was released on Sep 2014 in two types one with elephant print and second in knit edition. Debuted in NBA and has the flight web for super lockdown to the feet. Whereas, the performance woven upper makes it super comfortable and relaxed. Air Jordan is the best for the support to the feet, gives strength to the feet and protects from any kind of injury. However, this model also launched in a package having the icon of Air Jordan XI called as the “Ultimate gift of flight”.
“Air Jordan XXX”
Air Jordan XXX or 30 introduced on 14th Jan 2016, was again designed by Tinker Hatfield. The first color of the Air Jordan XXX released on 16th Feb. the upper and the outer sole of the Air Jordan XXX like that of Air Jordan XX9. But Air Jordan introduced a back fit lacing system in the shoe. The outer and midsole are also matching to the XX9 but have visible changes. This time the flexibility of the shoes as well the structural integrity of the shoe is different and more amazing.
“Air Jordan XXXI”
Air Jordan XXXI the 31st model of Air Jordan debuted on 3rd Sep 2016. However, this model inspired by air Jordan I. Moreover, this model contains swoosh of Nike along with Jumpman and the wings logo of Jordan. Containing different colorways.
“Air Jordan XXXII”
This was first launched on 23rd September 2017, was inspired by air Jordan 2nd model air Jordan II and contains wings logo like Air Jordan XXXI. Here, Air Jordan XXXII is available in two cuts original mid-length cut and the 2nd one with low cut.
“Air Jordan XXXIII”
This is the first model of the Air Jordan family which goes laceless and launched on 18th October 2018.
